The Lord Jesus uses 2 more parables to reveal to His disciples the expectation of rejection but also the certainty of God’s Kingdom. Applying the Parable of the Soils (Mark 4:1-25)

The implications of the parable of the soils holds just as much urgency to the first hearers as to every hearer today in every context. It speaks of God’s sovereign grace to cause good soil to bear abundant fruit, it exhorts us to expect and be ready for hard sinful hearts to reject the truth and it is a loving warning for those being sanctified to ensure that their hearts are not being hindered by the three fruitless soils.
